COCKTALES TOUR

What could possibly make delving into the  history of New Orleans even more fun and exciting? Why drinks, of course! Join us for our Cocktales Tour, where you will experience the rich cocktail history of New Orleans over drinks in some of the French Quarter’s best bars.

We begin our Cocktales Tour at Pirate’s Alley Café, where you can sip absinthe as we discuss the history of “the green fairy.” From there, we will visit local watering holes that specialize in cocktails, such as the Sazerac, French 75, and Hurricane.

We’re going to introduce you to a few “off the beaten path” places that other visitors only wish they knew, as well as some old favorites! As an added feature, our Cocktales Tour size is limited to a maximum of fourteen guests to ensure the enjoyment of tour experience. No overbooked or cattle call groups allowed on this tour! Each location will be offering signature drinks for your enjoyment, which we will list for you prior to entry at each establishment.

Cocktales Tour in New Orleans

Each and every Jonathan Weiss tour strives to entertain, educate and leave you wanting more of New Orleans and her French Quarter. Our Cocktales Tour begins in the French Quarter and our guides will navigate the streets while telling you the stories that make our city great. We will stand in the exact spots where history happened while we discuss the spirits of New Orleans. You will be intrigued, thrilled and maybe even uncomfortable with some of the chronicles of the Crescent City.

Our guides’ passion and collective knowledge of the city brings an expertise to each of our tours; we encourage you to ask questions and become as excited about New Orleans history as we are! We are first and foremost historians of this great city and are proud to tell you about her saints, sinners, triumphs and travesties.

New Orleans is an open container city, meaning you can bring your drinks along for the entirety of the Cocktales Tour! We suggest you bring a camera and snap photos along the way–you never know who or what might make an appearance! Don’t forget to bring plenty of curiosity, an open mind and comfortable shoes! We can’t wait to share our love of The Big Easy with you! See you in the Quarter for your Cocktales Tour…
